I'm having a pretty blessed day. Me and Bucket are hangin' out on the big comfy bed. We slept really good last night. The house is kinda empty and quiet but I got Buckey and we're hanging out watching war movies on TV.
The Christmas lights I can put up are hung. Wires are run. I'm gonna turn them on once when it gets dark, just to make sure the whole thing works, and then they're off until the day after Thanksgiving. It was good to hang them up just wearing a shirt. It was a beautiful day today.
The leaves were rounded up into piles. I used my leaf blower to do this for the first time since I've had it. And then I decided that just mowing the lawn was easier. The mower made quick work of those piles of leaves, though. The size of my compost pile doubled today. The lawn is mowed for the final time this year and the mower is almost out of gas. I need to drain the string trimmer and that will be that.
I get to enjoy some Monday night football tonight. A nap might be in order. I went and priced turkeys today. Go Winco Foods. They're rapidly becoming my favorite store.
Bucket is having one crazy dream coupled with a bout of doggie hiccups. It was quite funny to watch. He must be chasing something. His little feet are a movin' and he's growling.
Get 'em Buck!
Dogs are funny.
My other houseguest has been returned to its' rightful owner today, too. Mudge the puggle (ugliest damn thing you've ever seen!) went home today. He's been here for a week. Mudge is getting to be a buddy of mine. I give him very small bites of people food sometimes. I know I shouldn't but after all...he is a guest.
I also had time to do some writing for a project I'm working on. I have some things to think about for my Wednesday meeting, too. I have a four to six month project I have to do for my class. I have to present it on Saturday. I also have one of the lessons from last week's class that I really gotta figure out what to do about. I guess if I'm supposed to do anything about it, God will open the necessary doors. At this point all I can say is that I'm willing.
Obedience sometimes means doing something hard.
Reading Veterans' Day posts on Facebook made me lonely for my friends. I miss them. We had some good times together.
Well kids, that's all from Lark Circle today.
Blessings,
Coop
