Just stuff

So, I'm in pain.  I haven't had a gout attack in almost a year.  I'm having a doozey today though.  And man, does it hurt.  I took a muscle relaxer last night that usually knocks me out.  Not through that amount of pain, though.

My back probably still hurts but I don't care right now.

I missed church.  Mostly because I couldn't stand to sit that long, and I couldn't stand to stand even less.  I did church via radio today and listened to a good message.  I think sometimes God gives us stories that we can relate into gospel truth by drawing parallels and the pastor used one today to make a good point about Jesus being all we need.

I found it interesting too when he was talking about hell.  He was explaining to a woman that instead of taking her word that a loving God wouldn't send anyone to hell, he would rely on Jesus.  Jesus, the pastor pointed out, talked more about hell than heaven.  I'm going with it's a real place, and thankfully, because Jesus found me almost six years ago now, I'm not going there.

Six years.  Man, has it been that long?

In a lot of ways, yes.  And in a lot of ways, it doesn't seem so.

I noticed about a month or so ago that things were getting worn out and old.  For it being six years, I never got around to getting rid of all the stuff hanging around that was Wendi.  It wasn't intentional...I've spent the last six years flat broke.  Replacing things was a luxury, but thanks to some timely sales and things working out the way they have, a few things here, and a few things there, and viola....no more Wendi.

I'm on a crusade to freshen up the place.  I don't know why, but it just seems like it's time.  I finally, properly fixed the spot on the red wall where the old partition attached to.  As I type this, I'm waiting for grey primer to dry and I'll just touch it up with the same color red paint.

You have to paint grey before you paint red.  I learned that lesson the hard way.

You never know what you're gonna find.  I had to take the new bedspread to the laundromat today.  I found a penny stuck to the inside of the dryer.  It's now in the pocket, waiting to be deposited into the jar for the missions fund.  There are two dollar bills in there this time.  I found each buried in a pile of leaves at the church.  In different spots.  On different days.

Did I mention my foot hurts?

So that's all for a cloudy Sunday at Lark Circle.  Still waiting.  Still hoping.  Still wondering..... And still praying!
