Titus (please re-read this if you did, I goofed up the verse reference)
Dear readers:
In typing today's blog I referenced the wrong chapter of the book Titus. I had the Bible open but must have looked at the big 2. The last verse I suggested you read for content was the first verse in chapter two. My pastor was kind enough to point out the mistake to me this afternoon but I had no way to fix it until now. My humble apologies.
Anyway, The verse in question, Titus 1:16 will lead into tomorrow's blog, due in part to some comments I overheard today.
Thanks and so sorry for the confusion. I like to link to the verse or type it out in its entirety when I can to avoid these kinds of mistakes. I'll try to do better in the future!

Good morning, readers. Short post today, sorry about that. I'm running a bit late and have to leave for work. Last day of overtime this week and I'm really looking forward to three days off.
I was thumbing through my Bible the other day and came across the book of Titus. It had been a while since I read it so I did this morning. If you have just a small amount of free time today, I'm not a fan of cherry picking scriptures as you know, so I'd encourage you to read the whole three chapters. That's it.
There's a verse or two in there that applies to a lot of people I know that verse 1:16 applies to. Google it and you'll see what I mean. It's a verse that stands on its own, but for context's sake, at least read the one before it and the one after it.
I used to be one of the people that verse 1:16 describes. Are you?
Take some time today and read the scripture to find out. I hope God touches your heart to read this today and that it will cause you to reflect on the matter.
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to share with you today. I hope the scripture reading today touches your heart and draws you closer to Jesus.

From Pastor Karl, who let me know I'd made the mistake yesterday:
ReplyDeleteAn honest mistake and easy to fix. Sometime you should invite your readers to look up something in the book of Hezekiah...watch them scramble to find it. Also interesting to note how many people tell you they found it, and how it touched them in some way. ☺
