Living life again!
Hi gang,
I know the posts have been a bit sporadic over the last month or so but so much has happened in the last month or so in my life. It's been kind of a whirlwind, so to speak, and it's just taken a bit to catch my breath.
As with anyone's life, there are a couple of hurdles to overcome. That's just to be expected. Honestly, they're not even worth mentioning. We'll be taking care of what needs taking care of in the next couple of weeks and it'll be all right.
Lots of good things have happened in the last three weeks. My truck is all fixed. The passenger side is repainted and the rear bumper is brand new. I still need to have the air conditioning looked at, but for a 1997 Chevron is in pretty darn good shape.
When I started at Hill Field, I made friends with three of the guys on the crew and this weekend I got to spend some time with each of these guys. On Friday, I ran into one of them at the ball game. We had free tickets but upgraded to different seats for $2 each. So, we hung out with my friend and his wife. It was nice. Today, I was invited to a cookout at another friend from work's home where my other friend was also there. I don't work with these three guys anymore and don't see them too often. It was really nice to do stuff again, though. It's also nice to say "we" again when I speak of doing stuff.
Speaking of we, it's great. No, not like that kind of great. But great! From just hanging out and watching football to having someone to sit next to in church, we is so nice compared to being single. She's still pretty terrific.
Things seem to be going right. Like I said, a few hurdles to overcome, but nothing we can't without God's help. We're going to need a bit of that, but He's actively involved in our lives and it's a good thing!
To prove my point, I even found homes for the kitty cats we needed to get rid of. None have to go to the pound, thankfully! I was worried nobody would want the black one, but someone called and took it. I had to deliver two of them, but better to people than to the pound.
See, I told you things were going good!
Well, that's all for now! Hope y'all have a great week!
