Two in a day?!

There are some stories worth telling, even if it means writing two posts in one day.

I had to print some stuff out yesterday.  When I hooked up the computer to the printer, among the other things that printed out were some notes for a Bible study on the book of John I'd compiled and printed out over a month ago.

I set them aside, wondering why they printed out and just figuring I'd need them.

I did.

Today, we jump-started our mens' Bible study at church.  I needed the notes because folks showed up! That's a praise!  And then I got home.

And someone asked me why it said in the copy of the Bible that was open to start reading in the Gospel of John!  No accident.  No coincidence.

I know it's a Christian meme but I'm beginning to understand the truth that God does not call the equipped but He equips the called.

God is GOOD all the time and worthy to be praised!

What I've learned lately, I'm trying to apply to the oddest thing I've ever faced.  I mean that.  Over the years I've learned that when you lose, it's best to lose and walk away.  But this time, walking away seems to be not part of the plan.  It's like being forced to watch as the decision you made has consequences you could never imagine, and having to watch them as they play out. At least I can laugh about it!

The papers say: DALE L COOPER IS NOT THE..... I had to laugh because it was my Maury moment.  I'm not making this up; they say it just like that in bold type and all capital letters, like they're shouting it from the rooftops! I wonder if all caps and bold type in legal documents have the same significance as capitalizing things in an e-mail. There's a story here about why God is always good and His timing is impeccable. I mentioned earlier I had to get a copy of my divorce decree for my employer so they can verify some information I provided to them.  That is gonna have to wait because I got some papers in the mail from the State of Utah who is stepping in to set aside a portion of my divorce decree so that it meets their needs.  They need to undo something that got done through no fault of my own. When I quit fighting the former(?) Mrs., it was this issue that I gave in on. So today, I get to send my employer the information I got in the mail and hopefully...

The Declaration they made.

 Tomorrow is Independence Day.  It's the day we celebrate the birthplace of the idea of the United States of America.  Constitution Day comes later this year.  On the 4th, we celebrate the document signed that signified that Americans wanted to be a free people, under self-rule and free from the tyranny of their king. In the opening salvo of the document, they clearly point out that the rights they believe all men should have are given by their Creator.  According to the law of non-contradiction, the truths they hold to be "self-evident" (great words, are they not?) about how the Creator of the Universe blessed them with being created equal, says that for these words to be actually true, the Creator must be.  He cannot not be and have the Declaration of Independence be a truthful document. Our freedoms in America hinge on that document.  The people then fought a war over it.  We've been fighting wars ever since to keep and protect those freedoms....
