Time flies
I don't know where the time goes these days. It seems like I just forget to write a blog post, then I forget again, and before I know it, a week has gone by.
What a week it's been, though.
I have never been more busy in my life than I am these days. It's busy with good things, but busy nonetheless. Busy with doing things God has for me to do, but it seems like even in that, finding time to work a 10 hour a week part time job is becoming a struggle because of scheduling.
That's a good thing because I work at my church as the custodian. I try to be there when other people aren't and that's sometines hard to do. And then, this week, I just feel like I live in a snow globe and someone just gave it a bit of a shake.
James 4:13-15 says: 13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
I think the idea is that God has our times in His hands and the unexpected things that happen are only unexpected to us. When we're doing things that God has for us, then there's time. Sometines, though, it can feel like we're going a thousand miles an hour through a day and start to forget the little things God asks us to be faithful about.
Like writing a blog post.
For this task, I'm working on it. Maybe I need to set a reminder to write it. It's not that I don't have stuff to say...It's just that I forget how fast the days fly by.
