I listened

I was helping a friend yesterday with some sprinklers.  He wasn't home at the time, so I just put the sprinkler together and that was that.  I thought to myself that I really ought to turn on the sprinklers by moving the solenoid and checking the repair but I kind of forgot.  I had a ton of stuff to do yesterday and I woke up with a bit of a toothache.  As I said, I forgot.  But as I was driving away, that nagging feeling told me that I needed to go back and do that.  I listened and went back.  When I lifted the cover off the valve box, I realized why I needed to do that.  One of the valves is leaking and will have to be replaced.

I'm having one of those weeks again.  First the gout attack, then the toothache that turned into oh, so much more fun.  The toothache is gone.  Stupid me ran a piece of floss around the tooth to see if there was just something stuck around it.  In doing so, I opened the abscess around it which drained and them spread throughout the Coop machine.  So I went from having a little infection to being knocked right to my knees.

But my tooth doesn't hurt anymore.

One of the speakers scheduled to appear at our men's summit could not make it.  The guys in charge found a replacement and I spent several hours last night after the doctor's visit working on fixing their website.   It took about a dozen e-mails to guys in different organizations to get things the way they want them, but I got it done.  It was on my list of things to do today.  It made it to my list of things to do while fighting off a fever last night.

I'm learning that God's work is never done.

In the grand scheme of things, I could have lived the rest of my life without having an abscess tooth.  I didn't want to take last night off.  I still have the fever and whether or not I'll make it through a full shift at work remains to be seen.  I have tylenol.  I might need more tylenol.

Well, friends, that's all from Lark Circle today.

Have a blessed day!
