I always get in trouble when I don't follow God's word
Here's some sage advice I came across in the Bible a couple of days ago. Advice I promptly ignored. From 1Thessalonians 4:11-12(NIV)
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody
There's a lot to this and we'll just chalk up yesterday's failure as a failure to do this and a lesson learned.
So, what now, that I basically became a hypocrite for a few hours yesterday? I apologize, pick myself up, let the wounds heal, and move forward in my walk with Christ, more humble, more aware than ever that as far as I've thought I've come, it's a very short walk back to where I used to be.
Like I said, every time I try to drive the metaphorical "car" that is my life, something bad happens. Sometimes, the course corrections are gentle. Other times, I get jerked back to where I ought to be. Yesterday, I was jerked back on course and for that I thank God and give Him the glory.
And I thank the person who let me have it for being an ass. I listened to her, acted on what she said, and I do appreciate it. God gave me another day to be alive and I hope today I made more of that opportunity than I did yesterday.

Frustrated? It may be because you're trying to make something happen that only God can make happen. Whenever you are doing what God has called you to do, it is important to rely on His strength, His grace, and His power to complete your task.

You may feel like your prayers are going unanswered today, and that may be because you are pushing too hard to make something happen. Any seed needs time to grow. Relax, let go, and allow things to be for a while. Focus on gratitude and acceptance, and the pieces of the puzzle you are seeking will fall into place.
Where was this on Tuesday, when I said something out of frustration...
And then there was the blessing of Pastor Karl's sermon this morning which dovetailed nicely into this week's lesson.
