It goes so fast

I spent $7 on dinner.  Another $23 for the following:  a box of kitty litter, two cans of air freshener, a box of store brand trash bag liners, and two boxes of brownie mix.  They were only $1 a piece and they'll go well with the two cans of chocolate frosting in the cupboard.

I was going to make a yule log cake.  I find these days I was gonna do a lot of things, but don't have a lot of free time to do said lotta things.  I have a project I'm going to finish by Sunday evening.  I will work on it today after round two of snow removal.

I managed not to break a shear pin on the snowblower today.  I had an unfortunate incident where I left my keys in the church gym and locked the door behind me.  I thought I'd lost them in the snow and spent an extra hour moving piles of snow with a snowblower looking for them.  Fortunately, someone came and found my keys.  Tomorrow I'll make another key for the truck.  Gotta have a spare.  I've learned.  I'll make an extra so the kiddo has one that he doesn't have to give back.

I put $40 in the truck.  It almost filled one of the tanks.  It's below 3/4 of a tank now.  Driving with the truck in 4wd really makes the gas go fast.  

I really didn't buy anything I didn't need, save for the brownie mixes.

It just really goes fast.

What I've learned lately, I'm trying to apply to the oddest thing I've ever faced.  I mean that.  Over the years I've learned that when you lose, it's best to lose and walk away.  But this time, walking away seems to be not part of the plan.  It's like being forced to watch as the decision you made has consequences you could never imagine, and having to watch them as they play out. At least I can laugh about it!

The papers say: DALE L COOPER IS NOT THE..... I had to laugh because it was my Maury moment.  I'm not making this up; they say it just like that in bold type and all capital letters, like they're shouting it from the rooftops! I wonder if all caps and bold type in legal documents have the same significance as capitalizing things in an e-mail. There's a story here about why God is always good and His timing is impeccable. I mentioned earlier I had to get a copy of my divorce decree for my employer so they can verify some information I provided to them.  That is gonna have to wait because I got some papers in the mail from the State of Utah who is stepping in to set aside a portion of my divorce decree so that it meets their needs.  They need to undo something that got done through no fault of my own. When I quit fighting the former(?) Mrs., it was this issue that I gave in on. So today, I get to send my employer the information I got in the mail and hopefully...

The Declaration they made.

 Tomorrow is Independence Day.  It's the day we celebrate the birthplace of the idea of the United States of America.  Constitution Day comes later this year.  On the 4th, we celebrate the document signed that signified that Americans wanted to be a free people, under self-rule and free from the tyranny of their king. In the opening salvo of the document, they clearly point out that the rights they believe all men should have are given by their Creator.  According to the law of non-contradiction, the truths they hold to be "self-evident" (great words, are they not?) about how the Creator of the Universe blessed them with being created equal, says that for these words to be actually true, the Creator must be.  He cannot not be and have the Declaration of Independence be a truthful document. Our freedoms in America hinge on that document.  The people then fought a war over it.  We've been fighting wars ever since to keep and protect those freedoms....
