It's harder than you think
It might seem like it's easy to write this thing. Some days, that's true, and other days, well, if you've noticed I don't post as much as I used to, it's because it's harder than you think to write this thing.
It's not for a lack of things to talk about. I have some things to say to gun nuts. I find it absolutely intriguing that the government has more control over my dogs than most firearms. And before anybody gets all preachy about the Constitution, let me just remind you that the words "well-regulated" appear in the Second Amendment. The Constitution gives you the right to keep and bear arms. It does not allow you to do so "carte blanche". I also find it interesting, gun nuts, that one organization you're most likely to despise probably has more of your interests at heart than does the National Rifle Association: That would be the American Civil Liberties Union. If anybody tries to take away your guns, these folks will have your back.
Oh, I guess I just said what I wanted to to the gun nuts.
Oops.
Anyway, I have a take on some Facebook memes about relationships that I've been wanting to share and just haven't found the words for. The post, had I ever gotten around to writing it would have asked the pointed question: Doesn't the knife cut both ways?
And then I thought better of it.
The basement is a headache that just won't go away. More about this next week, I'm sure.
And then there's today. I want to talk a little about a project I was asked to be involved with that I'm so thankful and grateful to be a part of. It's kind of a little bit of a dream come true and I'll share more about that either later on. I did not sleep well. I got up early to take care of some snow removal chores and then came home. When I finally got the car where I wanted it in the driveway, I came in the house. Five minutes later, the car was out in the middle of the street. When winter comes again, I hope to have the financial means to invest in studded snow tires.
A heated driveway is out of the question.
Well, that's all, except for this. Today's Sunday; the Lord's day. I hope you're making time to brave the elements and attend a worship service. Church is at eleven; 25th & Jefferson in Ogden. If you can't make today, but are interested in attending an Ash Wednesday service, same place, Wednesday at 12:00. That's 1200 for you military types.
