Updates

The basement project is 99.5% done.  Just some baseboards left to install and it's a wrap!  The guy from the bank was here today, took his pictures, commented on the plumbing fixture, and left.  He was happy.  So am I.  There may or may not be one little issue with the insurance company.  I haven't heard from the contractor about it so I'm thinking it may have resolved itself.

Next up is what to do with said basement and stuff in the garage which certainly isn't going back into the basement without being gone through and repacked.  Item by item, it's going to be sorted through.  I need the garage back because there is some automotive repair work that needs to be completed.

I dislike working on cars.  I know that's odd for a man who makes his living as a mechanic, but airplanes and cars are two completely different animals.

Next update is about the little project I mentioned.  I was involved with creating a devotional for the members of the congregation of First Baptist.  It's a little booklet with a devotional for each day of the Lenten season.  They were handed out on Sunday but there are a few copies still left.  If you'd like one, why not attend the Ash Wednesday service tomorrow at noon?  The church is on 25th & Jefferson in Ogden.

Me and Bucket have been playing more.  Someone shared a Facebook meme on relationships from the dog's point of view.  I do know Bucket has been feeling Buckybandoned lately because I've been working so much.  I'm trying to spend quality time with him.  He's a lot of fun to have around.

I'm still tryin' to come up with what I'm gonna give up for Lent.  Facebook is leading the charge.  I gotta tell you, if there wasn't one bill I have that has to be paid and has to be paid online, I might just pull the plug on the internets for the 46 days.

I dunno.  Last year it was coffee and I don't think that went all that well.  I didn't quit drinking anything but coffee and found myself just replacing coffee with tea.  I don't think that's quite the point of giving up something.  I'd like to do a little better this year.

I wanna make a tartar sauce run.  I looked at the weather in Oregon.  It's rainy and 50 in Newport.  I probably won't go, but a man can dream, no?  I'll explain the whole tartar sauce thing some other time.  Some will get it, though.    The downside to going is that it's a 14 hour drive.
