Observations
This is gonna read like I ripped off a Larry King column. Heck, maybe I did, for all I know.
But I see things; no not dead people.....don't even go there.
Here are the things on my mind:
There are a lot of people from Oregon around Ogden. I got behind one the other day and asked God if He was trying to tell me something. The guy then waved. I looked and there is the cutest little coffee shop for sale....
I know I've mentioned this before, but it's worth repeating: Before you post that Facebook meme about your ex, maybe you ought to think if he/she likely feels the very same way about you. Just sayin'...
My nephew posted an interesting thing about Scripture and taking it as it's written. I think it's not wise to cherry pick a verse to make a point; again not new news to anybody that's a long-time reader of the blog. But then, too, I think the Holy Spirit helps us understand Scripture and so do good Bible teachers, but I think Scripture is up for interpretation as in "how can I apply this to my life?".
It's awfully hard to know how to properly punctuate that last sentence, which contained a question in a statement.
If you ever get a chance to watch The Great Dictator, you should.
I'm watching coverage of a town that got blown up by a fertilizer plant. Sad. How sad. Many people will wind up hurt and dead. Pray for them, their families, and our country.
If stricter gun laws aren't the answer, what is and why hasn't anyone proposed that legislation? You should have seen that your government is bought and sold by private interests. Can 95% of Americans really be wrong?
I'm for term limits. I used to be for elections, but Congress has convinced me that most of us can't be trusted.
I keep waiting for my free Obama stuff. I look in the mail and it doesn't come. Heck, I can't even get a 0.5% pay raise, which for me is a whopping 13 cents an hour. For the mathematically challenged, twenty-five cents an hour is ten bucks a week. That's less than three gallons of gas right now.
Yay.
Why is there an e in the word mathematics. Why isn't it simply mathmatics? Who made that decision? I want to know.
But then again, I want to know a lot of things.
I've touched on and off about my financial situation over the past couple of years. Because of circumstances beyond my control and not taking some good advice from my divorce attorney ten years ago, I found myself a party to the Independent Foreclosure Review joke. I filed for a review for one, didn't for when my house was in foreclosure the first time. I missed the payments, the bank was gonna foreclose. Why file a claim on that? The other issue wasn't my fault and that one cost me some serious money. I did file for that. I've been following that joke of a program for a while now, and I'm gonna get a couple of checks. One will be bigger than the other. The banks had to pony up 3.1 Billion dollars to settle this part of the mess. The first checks went out last week and the ones that were mailed out quickly bounced. I didn't get mine yet.
I learned tonight that just because it looks clean, doesn't mean it is clean. Mirrors and new flashlight batteries will help you find all kinds of things. I don't know how long that bolt had been there, and I didn't find it first, but I fished it out.
Sometimes everything goes wrong. It doesn't mean that God doesn't love us.
I'm tired. G'nite gang!
