Whadda ya know?!
I haven't been posting much and here's why:
Computer issues.
It's not that I don't have tons going on in my life; I do. Lots of things changing at Lark Circle these days...and mostly me. But we'll get to that. Today's post is about computer issues and an answer to prayer.
I bought a Macbook laptop in 2007. I'm wiring on it tonight, but for the last few months, I haven't been able to use my internet browser (Safari) to post blogs. Something was awry. I also couldn't use it to update a website I take care of.
What I thought I needed was a new computer, so I started praying and asked the ministry guys to also pray that God would provide. My prayer was a little different though; more along the lines of God, if you want me to continue to do this work, then will you provide a new computer, or at the very least, would you help me understand how I can make what I have work? I tried several different ways of trying how to figure out how to upload files to the server for the website. Blogger works when I use Firefox web browser, but I don't like Firefox.
So I quit posting. And then I quit having internet because I have a smarter-than-me phone. Posting blogs on a touch screen doesn't work well for me. Texting on a touch screen doesn't work well for me.
Anyway, that explains the absence. And the other day, God answered those prayers, with "use what you have." And ideas started popping into mind that weren't there before. It's like there was this road block and now it's gone.
I tried blogger on a whim. It works. My mobile hotspot interweb thing works. I had to spend an hour at T-moblie straightening that out yesterday before work. That problem was fixed. And then I got a check in the mail which covered the cost of the website again for three months. Timing is everything.
God's timing is perfect.
So the menofvisionutah.org website is up and somewhat current. So is their Facebook page and I'm gonna try and post at least one new thing there a day.
Try.
And maybe now that blogger works with Safari again, thanks, I'm sure, to a flash update, maybe...just maybe I'll start blogging again.
