Spring

I like spring.  I like watching to see what's coming up next in the flowerbeds.  Tulips are up next and lilacs won't be far behind.  There's the smell of freshly cut grass.  And then there's the inside of the joint.

I've had the spring cleaning bug this week.  I took a day off to get caught up on some yardwork that I neglected to do last fall.  With the uncertainty of whether or not I'd be able to stay in the house all but removed, I decided it was time to get busy.

I like it that cleaning products come in coordinated scents.  I found a lavender floor cleaner and air freshener.  The house smells nice and fresh.  I scrubbed the carpet in the bedroom today.  It gets dirty from the mutts.  I dusted and mopped too.

It's kinda chilly outside today, so cleaning up the inside seemed like a good idea.  Miss June hasn't been home much lately and I don't mind doing the things I did today up in here.  I'm really gaining an understanding of just how much work it is to take care of the house and understand more than ever how much I used to aggravate the ladies of the house by just taking it for granted that the house was automatically clean each day.

It's been such a blessing to be busy around here.  I've not had much time to dwell on things because I've been doing this thing and that.  I fixed stuff.  I changed the brakes on the car last weekend.  I cooked a few meals.  It feels like I'm starting to live again and I'm so very thankful that the dark times are over with for the most part.

And I still can't get over the little pussycat story.  That's just a bit strange.  The little one has a a pretty good voice.  He's hollering for momma right now.  I absolutely don't believe in reincarnation so I don't think it's Simba come back to life.  I just find it random(?) that a pink-nosed black and white only child pussycat would make an appearance at my house.

You just never know how God will bless you!

Hope you're having a great day.  Don't forget church tomorrow.  If you're not busy and in Ogden, feel free to join us.
