The plan was...

The plan was to move all of the stuff that I don't use out of the garage and downstairs to the part of the house that fits into that same category, then to move the boat into the garage.  That was the plan.

The boat is still in the driveway.

The stuff is still in the garage.

But, the garage is pretty much cleaned out and organized, and surprisingly, when I did this, I found room for a lot of my stuff.

Miss June gets part of the credit here.  She made a suggestion about where to put the table saw so it stayed in the garage and not in the basement.  It was a really good solution so it got me to thinking about what else would fit in the garage if I just moved this or threw that away.  She even gave me a new cardboard box for my collection of screws, nails, and what have you.  My old one broke and I had to clean up that mess, too.  In the process, I vacuumed out the garage and I'm fairly happy with the results so far.  There's some more to do, but it involves taking some blankets to the dry cleaners and things like that.

There is a little bit of water in the boat so I need to drain it out of the boat, which means hooking it up to the truck.  There's also a bit of debris, like leaves in the boat, which will make draining the water out of it a little difficult.  The plan was to vacuum out the leaves and stuff, but that's when everything started going wrong.  When that happens, I know to take a break.  Unfortunately, that break will last the rest of the day because I have to go to work soon.

No biggie.  It'll get done tomorrow.

I want to put the boat in the garage and pull the wheels off the trailer.  I need to re-inspect the axle and see how it survived the trip from Green River to home after the fiasco last summer.  I put the boat parts together yesterday afternoon and it fired right up.  I'm happy about that.  I put the old prop on it because the newer one is a bit chewed up.  I need to dress out the edges and I think it'll be OK.  I know the old one works.  Not great, but it does work and we'll see if the thing will even run in water.

Pineview is a short 15 minute drive from the house to the boat ramp and I figure that'll be an easy test spot.  I can take it out, not go far from shore or the boat ramp and see how it's going to run.  If it does good there, then it might be time for a Strawberry fishing excursion.   Depends on how the trailer looks, really, but that wasn't supposed to be looked at today.  Tomorrow, well, God willing, is another day.
