Here we go again

Well, it's Saturday.

No overtime tonight, which I'm happy about.  The money would have been nice, but so is staying in on this cold day.  I would never have made it as an eskimo!  Brr!!!!   Let me say that again.... brrrr!

I accomplished a little bit of grocery shopping yesterday afternoon before work.  I told my stealth roommate we needed to start eating up the tomatoes we bottled.  On the stove there is a pot of red sauce cooking.  I had some of our green peppers from the garden in the freezer, to I tossed some of those in as well.  Of course, now there's a problem, because well, nothing I do can be simple.

I can't decide on what to make using said red sauce and I have to make a decision quickly.  It's either gonna be spaghetti, chicken parmesan, or lasagna.  If I make zagne, I'll be eating it for a week.  I have the stuff and whether or not I make it today, I'll make it this week.  If I make chicken parmesan, I can make spaghetti on the side and use the same pot.  Or I can just make spaghetti with either meatballs or italian sausages.  I have everything I need.

So, what's the problem?  It all sounds good and the same sauce is the basic ingredient for all, but it's what to do with the mushrooms?  If I'm making spaghetti, I use button mushrooms.  Whole ones.  Everything else needs sliced mushrooms, because, I'm me and that's the way it is.

I have both.

I think I'll use the sliced ones and just see what happens.

It's hard cooking for one.  So many choices....

  1. So here's what I decided... Lasagne, chicken parmesan, and minestrone soup! Gives me a chance to try out that Food saver I got for Christmas.
