Blessing
Maybe this happens to you all the time, but not so much to me.
We started our day here at Lark Circle by playing musical stoves. That also involved moving the fridge around. For a big house, we have a small kitchen and you can't get the stove out of the kitchen unless you move the fridge first. Anyway, me and the roommate moosed the range from upstairs to downstairs. French doors make moving appliances easier, by the way. When we went to pick up the new stove, we decided we weren't going to do that without a dolly.
I thought there was one at church I could borrow, but nope. So I went to a place where they rent stuff. I told the clerk I needed a furniture dolly. The lady behind the counter was a bit exasperated with her computer, so she told the woman to let me take a furniture dolly. Take as in, no paperwork, no deposit, no driver's license as collateral. "Just bring it back," she said to me as I left.
So I moved the stove from the garage to my kitchen using the dolly and I took it back.
There was a customer ahead of me at the counter so I just put the dolly back where it went. I waited in line for a couple of minutes more before the lady looked up at me and said "Merry Christmas."
See, I had a need and God met that need using someone else. How do I know it was God? When was the last time you walked out of a rental place with a piece of equipment without signing something for it or leaving a deposit. Besides, all good things come from God!
You gotta admit, that's quite the story... and every word of it is true!
