God is so GOOD to me!

I have a couple of praises to God to share with you today.  It's going to be short, but worth mentioning.

On Saturday, the oven downstairs didn't work.  It does now, thanks to a reset circuit breaker.  My roomie told me it didn't work.  I cycled the breakers but missed one.  A quick check of the outlet showed that one of the two wires wasn't carrying power.  I was pulling out of the driveway when I thought maybe it would be a good idea to turn off the breaker for the power so I didn't burn the house down, so with the aid of a couple of two-way radios I own, we determined the breaker for the stove was the one I missed.

Just for fun, I cycled it and had the roomie check the stove.  It works; that's all it was, and we're back in business.  God is good to me so I didn't have to call a repairman or worse.

Bucket got out this morning.  I have absolutely no idea how.  I didn't even know he was gone until I got the phone call.  I know Ogden City's prefix is 629.  Great.  Now what?  Anyway, they left a message and it was the dog police.  They didn't have Bucket, though, this time.  He was over at the University and the guy left a number.  NO fine!  No doggy jail.  NO ticket.  No dog catcher writing me up for violating the leash law with the leash still attached to the dog. (all of these things have happened with me and Buck).  I just walked over and fetched him.

I did have to pay $10 to renew his doggy license today.   God is so GOOD that it wall all it cost me!  I'm so blessed both times!

Being a Christian sometimes isn't easy.  But boy, God has sure been blessing me left and right lately and I'm so grateful that He's got time to look out for me!

At least I can laugh about it!

The papers say: DALE L COOPER IS NOT THE..... I had to laugh because it was my Maury moment.  I'm not making this up; they say it just like that in bold type and all capital letters, like they're shouting it from the rooftops! I wonder if all caps and bold type in legal documents have the same significance as capitalizing things in an e-mail. There's a story here about why God is always good and His timing is impeccable. I mentioned earlier I had to get a copy of my divorce decree for my employer so they can verify some information I provided to them.  That is gonna have to wait because I got some papers in the mail from the State of Utah who is stepping in to set aside a portion of my divorce decree so that it meets their needs.  They need to undo something that got done through no fault of my own. When I quit fighting the former(?) Mrs., it was this issue that I gave in on. So today, I get to send my employer the information I got in the mail and hopefully...

The Declaration they made.

 Tomorrow is Independence Day.  It's the day we celebrate the birthplace of the idea of the United States of America.  Constitution Day comes later this year.  On the 4th, we celebrate the document signed that signified that Americans wanted to be a free people, under self-rule and free from the tyranny of their king. In the opening salvo of the document, they clearly point out that the rights they believe all men should have are given by their Creator.  According to the law of non-contradiction, the truths they hold to be "self-evident" (great words, are they not?) about how the Creator of the Universe blessed them with being created equal, says that for these words to be actually true, the Creator must be.  He cannot not be and have the Declaration of Independence be a truthful document. Our freedoms in America hinge on that document.  The people then fought a war over it.  We've been fighting wars ever since to keep and protect those freedoms....
