As promised, today's topic is just up to you....if you have something to share about what you're thankful for.  I'll get the ball rolling.  Today, I'm humbled and just thankful for God's grace and forgiveness most of all.  It's been a rough year, but in my heart, I'm truly thankful and full of joy at God's willingness to forgive us when we fall.

    "As we start on our path,let us pray to those who help us on the way. Let us pray for them to come to us, and be with us. God, Buddha, Great Spirit, Our Teachers, She who gardens us from above, come to us and help us with this work. We thank you for the earth, for our families, and for us as the shaman that we all are. We thank you for our spirits and our ability to pray, to make to see visions and to speak to power animals and ancient ones.. We thank you for our eyes, our ears, our hands, our bodies, and our lives. Help us tell the truth and help us understand these words. Help us heal ourselves, others we love, and the earth. Thank the powers that you believe in, pray for what you need.

    Let's pray, friends for those that don't know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Let's pray for those that don't accept the Bible as God's word. Let's also pray for those that can't accept there is one God, one creator of the world, who so loved mankind he gave his only Son, Jesus Christ as a blood sacrifice for our sins.

    While I respect others differing views and always feel free to share them, I do pray to God that all will understand who He is, who Jesus Christ is, and accept Jesus as savior.

    Christ has made such a difference in my life. Do I fall occasionally? Yes, but thanks to Jesus, I've found forgiveness of my sins, and a better way to live life. It's my Thanksgiving wish that everyone could know the joy and fulfillment of His love and God's Grace.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.      Psalm 119:105 I'm reading, albeit slowly, a book called Jesus Club. It's a book about how this guy started a ministry at the high school he graduated from and how it grew. Yesterday, I read a story about how he was passing a skateboard shop, needing $200 more dollars for something God told him to do and he heard God telling him to go to the skateboard shop.  After a brief argument, he gave in, flipped a u-turn and went in. Turns out, he'd met the lady who owned said shop before, while standing in line at an amusement park near their home and had enough of a conversation that she remembered him.  He told her of his need for $200.  She started crying because God had laid it on her heart that she needed to take $200 with her to work because she was gonna meet someone who needed it. Learning to pray

The thing about my walk with Jesus; I'm always being challenged to venture deeper into that relationship, which is wonderful. And I'm reminded this morning that while there are periods of rest along the way, the journey is ever forward.  This week, I'm learning how to pray.  That may sound dumb, because I pray.  A lot.  Annoyingly a lot, sometimes, I think.  But I do talk with God all throughout the day, just as if I had a dad to call on the phone and talk to.  And of all people, you'd think I'd have a handle on praying. I guess what I'm learning to do is to spend time during my day with the TV off, no animals, shut in a quiet room, and praying intentionally and deeply about stuff.  It's kind of a new adventure for me, and I'm trying to get into the habit of journaling those prayers. Performance review?

 I love God, and I mean that.  I mean, with my whole heart, love God.  Not perfectly, but i'm trying harder and harder to not try so hard.  By that, I mean I'm just trying these days to just do the things God is asking me to do so that I can be closer to Him.  It was an interesting week for me.  It became somewhat evident that I was going to be taking a week off from the things I'd normally do, but not by my own choice.  Where my choice came in was to see what God was doing and saying yes to that, even though it meant having to do without the things I really enjoy getting to do. This last week for me has been kind of like a performance review.  I have a better understanding of some things I need to change about the way I'm doing things.  The first one starts with taking off the name tags.  By that, I mean the things that identify what I do (like job titles).  I'm not this or that.  I'm me.  I get to do this or that and onl...
