Who can sleep with all this $#$^ noise?

I woke up this morning at 7:45.  I went to bed at two.

I didn't want to wake up that early.  But who can sleep with all this noise?

Lark Circle is usually pretty quiet.  Not today.  Here's a sampling of the friendly noises I've heard in the last fifteen minutes:

Cooper, a very large dog that belongs to my neighbors' kids is visiting.  He's currently in the dog run in my neighbor's yard.  Cooper (no joke, the dog's name is "Cooper") doesn't like the dog run and he's letting the neighborhood know it.  Funny story:  Cooper got loose one day and my neighbor is out yelling for him.  I didn't know the dog's name was Cooper.  I was working on my truck and thought he was trying to get my attention.  The look on his face when he figured out what he was saying was priceless...

The young man who I'm letting use my driveway just got here.  He needs a muffler.  He's going to Weber State and apparently parking is an issue.  Not in my driveway, though.  We gots lots of room.

Someone is mowing a lawn this fine morning.

The traffic on Lark Circle sure has picked up, it seems.  That's probably because school just started again and college kids don't realize that a: you can't park on the street here; and b:  you can't get to the campus from here.  You'd think the dead end signs would clue people in, but no.

There are good noises, too.  I can hear the clock tower chimes from my yard.  That's kind of neat.  Twice a day it plays songs.  Once it played Billy Joel's "piano man".

Well, that's all I got that I'm gonna share.

Today, I'm going to give up on going back to sleep, go make myself some coffee and enjoy sitting on the patio.  Later on I have some errands to run then it's back to work.  Overtime this weekend, so there went my four days off.  Oh well, the money is a blessing.

Tomorrow, boys and girls, I am going to talk a little about my life and how this mess may hurt me but glorifies God. (It's kind of the theme of the week, and I haven't had a theme for a while).
